Pita Bread

Makes 18

Ingredients:

500g wholewheat flour

350g water

1/2 teaspoon salt

Method:

  1. Kneed all the ingredients together

  2. Let rest for about 30 minutes

  3. Roll out into a long sausage (about 40cm)

  4. Divide into half, then keep dividing in halves until you get 18 even pieces

  5. Roll each piece into a ball, then flatten to form 0.5 cm thick circle.

  6. Place into hot slightly oiled pan, cook over medium heat till both sides are slightly brown.
