Chinese Roasted Noodles with Honey

Serves 4

Ingredients:

200g Chinese Noodles

1/3 cup sesame seeds

6 tablespoons water

1 onion, sliced

2 cm ginger, finely chopped

200g cabbage, sliced

1 cup green peas (100g)

1½ mung bean sprouts (100g)

5 tablespoon soy sauce

2 tablespoons honey

½ teaspoon turmeric powder

¼ teaspoon cayenne powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup alfalfa or peppergrass sprouts

Method:

  1. Break the noodles, and follow package cooking instructions.

  2. Roast the sesame seed without oil, stirring constantly till you smell their fragrance, set aside.

  3. Fry the onions, ginger, cabbage in the water for a few minutes.

  4. Add the green peas and bean spouts fry a further minute.

  5. Stir in the noodles and the spices, fry shortly

  6. Serve with alfalfa or peppergrass sprouts.
